How to Measure Your Nails for Press-On Nails at Home

1. Gather Materials

  • Transparent tape 
  • Fine-tip pen or marker 
  • Ruler or measuring tape 

2. Measure Each Nail

  • Cut a small piece of transparent tape and place it over your natural nail. 
  • Use the pen to mark the widest points on each side of your nail.

3. Measure the Tape

  • Remove the tape and place it flat on a ruler or measuring tape. 
  • Measure the distance between the marks in millimeters. 

4. Record Your Sizes

  • Note the measurements for each nail. You’ll typically need the width in millimeters for all ten nails. 

5. Match with Press-On Nails

  • Use the size guide provided by us.

How to Apply Press-On Nails: Quick Steps

  • Gather Supplies: Press-on nails, nail glue/adhesive tabs, nail file, cuticle stick, nail buffer, rubbing alcohol. 
  • Prepare Nails: Remove old polish, trim and file nails, push back cuticles, buff nails, clean with alcohol. 
  • Size Nails: Match press-ons to natural nails, lay out in order. 
  • Apply Nails
  • With Glue: Apply glue to natural nail and press-on, press and hold for 10-15 seconds. 
  • With Tabs: Apply adhesive tab, press and hold press-on for 10-15 seconds. 
  • Finish: Shape press-ons with a file if needed, avoid water/pressure for the first hour. 
  • Maintain: Be gentle, moisturize cuticles, reapply nails if they come off.
